Floating houses on the sea can resist strong storms of level 4
The floating design of American company Arkup provides housing solutions for areas where frequent storms are subject to frequent storms.
The US startup Arkup launched a housing model that could cope with rising sea levels and strong typhoons level 4, according to Business Insider. The secret lies in hydraulic design that allows floating houses in shallow waters, 12 meters from the seabed. The hydraulic jack system also helps the house withstand the storm.
Arkup calls home samples "living yachts" due to the floating nature of the building. After launching the 2017 design, the company collaborated with The Advantaged Yacht Charters & Sales, the oldest yacht rental company in Miami, to build floating houses for rent and for sale.
The house is designed by architect Koen Olthuis, a pioneer in the idea of floating houses. Each house is 404m 2 large with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
The house has a 360-degree view, allowing you to observe the entire surrounding sea.
Homes operate on solar panels on the roof and do not release air.
In the house there is an automatic system to collect, store and purify rainwater.
The model can move flexibly like a normal yacht.
