The sight of the man throwing a bucket of water into the river to tease the shy boar made many angry.
US authorities are investigating Maria and Scott McCormick for acts of teasing manatees, after the video Scott scooped water into the St. River. John in Volusia County, Florida makes this timid animal panic spread on the network.

In the video filmed by Maria, after Scott knocked the bucket of water into the river, the entire swarm of manatees living under the water became alarmed and jumped, causing splashes of water to splatter a few meters away, Sun on June 21 reported.
The video attracts more than 2.3 million views on Facebook, causing an online wave of anger. Whether it is unclear whether the manatees are injured after the incident or what the liquid in the bucket is, many viewers are angry at Scott's actions.
The manatee is a protected animal in the United States and the act of teasing this species even if it is not intentionally committed is a crime. People who violate the government's manatee protection law may face a two-month prison sentence and must pay a fine of $ 500. The highest penalty is one year in prison and 50,000 fine.
