Found 16,000-year-old human skull nearly intact

Cranial fossils and many artifacts can tell about the process of migration and burial customs of prehistoric people in China.

Chinese archaeologists found a skull fossil dating back about 16,000 years and almost intact in Long An district, Guangxi province. This is the first old-fashioned human skull fossil found in southwestern China, the CGC reported on April 15.

Fossils were excavated at a grave in the Yahuaidong archaeological site in Long An district, Guangxi province. Besides the complete skull, archaeologists also discovered many artifacts such as pottery, stone casing, ignition tools, stone tools, or pieces of fossil bones and remnants of animals.

According to Archaelogogy News Network, very rare prehistoric fossils and graves from the Paleolithic era are found in China. The discovery in Guangxi province is the second stone age tomb discovered in the country, after the ancient tomb in the Shandingdong cave area in northern China.

The discovery is very important for scientists in the study of prehistoric people. According to archaeologist Xie Guangmao from the Institute of Archeology and Protection of Guangxi Cultural Heritage, skull fossils and Yahuaidong cave area artifacts can tell about the process of migration and burial customs of people. prehistoric history at the end of the Paleolithic period.
