British scientists claim to have found many lost fossils of Darwin. Collection of 314 sample boards collected by Darwin and his colleagues.

Dr Howard Falcon-Lang, an archaeologist at the University of London, said he stumbled across glass boxes to store fossils in a forgotten storage cabinet in a corner at the British Geological Institute. Upon discovering the words 'C.Darwin Esq' , Dr. Falcon-Lang took a while to believe that it was the autograph of evolutionist author Charles Darwin.
He quickly realized that this was a ' very important and undeniable' specimen. It seems that what is stored inside is a form of fossil found during the HMS Beagle expedition, the time when Darwin began to develop famous evolutionary theories. It was lost 165 years ago.

The collection went through an arduous journey from the Piccadilly Geological Museum and the South Kensington Geological Museum in 1935 and finally, 50 years later, at the British Geological Survey headquarters near Nottingham.
