Found gecko 'super camouflage'
A new 'super camouflage' gecko has been discovered by scientists in the low hills at the foot of Cardamom mountain range in Cambodia.
According to the BBC, the new gecko, called Cnemaspis neangthyi , is named after Cambodian conservationist Neang Thy, who had a great deal in discovering this gecko in June 2007.

The Cnemaspis neangthyi gecko is yellowish green, there are light colored stains on the body with a dark spot in the center of each spot, in addition to the wide, flat head of this gecko that makes it cleverly camouflaged into the rock surface. and trunk.
There are 75 known Cnemaspis geckos, of which 30 are discovered in Southeast Asia and only one lives in Cambodia.
Conservationist Neang Thy said 'the discovery attracted the attention of people in the research and protection of biodiversity in Cardamom region, Cambodia' , which is threatened by agricultural activities, fire forest and illegal logging.
Cardamom mountain range is one of the places in Southeast Asia that has many large areas of forest and is largely untouched by humans. This is an area with at least 62 species of animals and 17 globally threatened tree species, many of which are endemic to Cambodia.
