Free gifts from NASA

The US Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is providing many unique gifts for students around the world. This is an effort of the Glenn Research Center (NASA) to introduce, share and transfer new knowledge in areas related to science, mathematics and aerodynamics.

The website has the address http://www.grc.nasa.gov/WWW/K-12/freesoftware_page, you will have the opportunity to explore interactive computer programs. All are written as Java applets (run from a Web browser). If you like, you can still download the source code of these programs for reference or editing according to your individual research needs.

Some of NASA's free gifts are worth considering including:

1. FoilSim II (calculate theoretical lift of various aircraft wings),
2. CurveBall (determining the throwing force of a baseball),
3. EngineSim (simulating style and allowing testing of jet engines),
4. Undergraduate Computer Programs (group of Java applications dedicated to final year students of mechanical engineering),
5. RangeGames (testing math and physics knowledge related to aircraft operation),
6. RocketModeler (designing and researching a model rocket cruise), KiteModeler (designing and researching the flight direction of a kite),
7. Atmosphere Applet (study changing modes of atmospheric pressure, temperature and density)
8. GasLab Program (dynamic schema group helps you discover the basic principles related to movement and state of the gas).
