The best way to free up iPhone storage is to invest in a cloud storage service like iCloud, Google Drive or Dropbox. However, there are also certain settings that users can change to optimize iPhone capacity.

Optimize photo storage

Photos are one of the main causes of phone memory filling up. So the iPhone's photo settings have a feature that helps the device store smaller photo files instead of the original versions.

Full-resolution photos and videos will be stored on iCloud so users can view or download them when needed. To enable this feature, go to Settings > Photos then turn on Optimize iPhone Storage.

To use this feature, go to Settings > Photos then turn on iCloud Photos .

If the photo size is too large, users can also use third-party cloud storage services such as Google Photos or Dropbox or upload photos to Google Drive or OneDrive because free iCloud only allows storage of up to 5GB.

Delete unused applications

The next way to quickly free up iPhone space is to uninstall applications that are no longer used or applications that take up unnecessary memory.

To enable this feature, users go to Settings > App Store then select Uninstall unused applications .

Not just photos, videos, and apps, deleting old text messages can also free up iPhone space.

If there is no time to delete manually, users can set a periodic time period for the phone to automatically delete old messages. To do this, go to Settings > Select Messages > Save message > Select a time period of 30 days or 1 year depending on your needs.

Clear history and web data

Safari web browser, after long periods of use, will consume a lot of space on the iPhone to store browsing history, cookies and other browsing data. Deleting this section can free up up to 1GB of space for your phone.

This can also help reduce lag when browsing the web. However, it should be noted that all sites where the user is logged in will be logged out. Go to Settings > Safari, click on Delete history and website data , then confirm the deletion action.
