Scientists in the study said they were unsure about the cause of this phenomenon but most likely because of genetic genes as well as social and environmental factors.

In this study, the scientists looked at IVF results for 1,517 women treated in the clinic during the period 2006-2011 and found that the success rates among these subgroups were different. together. Accordingly, only 35% of Asian women and black women are pregnant and give birth successfully after using IVF compared with 44% of white women.

The study also points out that there is a difference between successful pregnancy and childbirth among different ethnic groups. Only 21.4% of women from Central Asia are pregnant and give birth successfully after applying IVF, while the proportion of women from Africa and the Caribbean is 23.3% and in women from Southeast Asia are 38%.

Dr. Walid Maalouf, the leader of the research team, said it is still unclear what caused the difference. Maalouf also emphasized that further research on the gene should be conducted to see if it is a determinant of the outcome of the IVF method , as well as the effects of lifestyle and other cultural factors.

Scientists believe that the results of this study can be used to advise couples about the potential for practical success when using the IVF method. Currently, two-thirds of couples do not succeed immediately with the first time using the IVF method.
