Al McGlashan, a fisherman journalist and fisherman in Australia, saw the squid corpse while fishing in the waters near New South Wales, Australia on June 6. The position where he saw the squid corpse about 50km from Jervis bay, Daily Telegraph reported.

When McGlashan approached the corpse, the journalist discovered that he was not the only creature that cared about it. A large blue shark also swims to close to the corpse of the squid and pokes meat. Because the squid is so big, McGlashan cannot bring it to the canoe. He believed that it died and the body's red color attracted the attention of sharks.

"Its body has not smelled rotten, and its body color is still quite strong," he explained.

Mandy Reid, an ink expert in Australia, said that the ink McGlashan saw died because of a humpback whale's attack or a natural cause.

"Most of them only live about a year. So their bodies grow very quickly," Reid said.

Scientists have known giant ink for a long time, but very few people have the opportunity to observe them because they swim in deep water during the day.
