Glow pig is born in China
Chinese scientists have successfully conducted experiments to create 10 pigs that glow green in the dark, using genetic intervention techniques.

According to the Huffington Post, the research team at the Southern China Agricultural University successfully conducted the experiment by injecting fluorescent proteins from jelly DNA into pig fetuses. The pigs that are born will then be able to glow green in the dark.

Scientists say this experiment is not intended for entertainment purposes. The success of this experiment will probably help scientists study a gene implantation method in the human body, which helps treat genetic disorders in a more efficient and less expensive way.
Dr. Stefan Moisyadi from the University of Hawaii, USA, who developed the gene intervention technique, said this technique could be applied to treat people with hemophilia.
Also according to Moisyadi, these green glowing pigs are not affected by fluorescent proteins and may have the same lifespan as other pigs.
This technique was used to create the first glowing rabbits in Turkey last year. Scientists here are also doing the same experiment with sheep.
