Garmin's HUD device is placed on the dashboard, projecting images showing simple journey data onto a transparent film board attached to the windshield of the car, according to Tech Crunch.

Garmin announced the price of 129 USD for this system.

Data released to the windshield will show the current speed, speed limit, nearest turning sign and distance to that place, as well as the estimated time to reach the destination, according to Garmin.

HUD can also notify traffic congestion in the forward route, location of traffic cameras, automatically adjust the screen in day and night conditions.

The new GPS device also integrates and connects via Bluetooth to any smartphone running Android, iOS or Windows Phone 8 loaded with Garmin's StreetPilot and Navigon apps.
