Half-toned femur revealed a prehistoric 'super monster'

A much larger femur bone than an adult man and weighs half a ton could belong to a super-sized monster but . very gentle.

Paleontologists have dug a surprising specimen at Angeac-Charente , the Jurassic "mecca" with about 7,500 different bones from 45 dinosaurs found since 2010.

It was a fantastically large thigh bone, 2 meters long and perfectly preserved, looking as alive as belonging to an animal that had died for a long time. The dating inspection shows that "monsters" are 140 million years old.

They tried to dig and discover an extraordinarily large part of the pelvis, suspected to belong to the same animal.

According to paleontologist Ronan Allain from the Paris National Museum of Natural History, the pinch marks of muscles and tendons confirm that the thighs of a prehistoric "super monster" - It is the great long-necked sauropod dinosaur, often referred to in movies. Particularly, the thigh bone has weighed up to half a ton.

This is a very precious finding because normally the bones are too big or collapsed into pieces.

They sought to pair with many specimens found over the past decade in the region to try to restore a complete dinosaur skeleton. With this new discovery, the recovery has completed 50%. Although a "super monster" , the long-necked dinosaurs are all gentle herbivores.
