Hanoi: Excavating a foundation to build a house, discovering a mummy

12:00 pm on August 30, while digging a foundation to build a house, a resident in Ninh Hiep Commune (Gia Lam District - Hanoi) discovered an ancient tomb containing an intact mummy.

Determination of burial in the form of outside the office, size: 0.5m x 1.9m. The outer covering is about 25cm thick

The mummy was wrapped in two layers: inside the paper, the outer layer was tight and there were 5 loops.

The mummy is a pretty young woman, her mouth filled with coins that have been oxidized unrecognized. The burial clothes only have sandals and betel bags. At the bottom of the grave, there was a sheet of paper with words written but unfortunately it was lost.

When discovered, people reported to the authorities but were told to wait through the holidays, so the people opened the coffin arbitrarily and moved the mummy to Dong Man's cemetery.
