Happy lizard fish, short-tailed squid under the sea
At the bottom of the sea in the southeastern United States, scientists found exotic animals such as lizard fish that possess the sex organs of both sexes or fish that have fast-paced gusts of electricity.
NOAA's Okeanos Explorer (the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) has just finished its mission of exploring less-studied marine areas in the southeastern United States and publishing amazing images of life under the sea. Among them is the strange lizard fish at 1,771 meters.
They describe this fish as the genus bathysaurus, the head is pale, the eyes are lifeless and the teeth are jagged.
According to National Geographic, each individual lizard fish possesses the genital organs of both genders - allowing them to pair with every kind easily. They can be more than half a meter long and often lie in ambush to hunt.
Diving equipment also found a bright orange-colored creature with the same anemone species they have never seen.

These creatures were once recorded in a large seabed landslide called Currituck Landslide, a large part of the continental slope that split off and slid to depths of more than 2,000 meters.
In addition, the team also first 'touched' Mola mola, another name for Sunfish in this area in 2018.
Not to mention a lovely squid shaped like dumplings, also known as short-tailed squid. But in fact, they are not close relatives to the common squid, according to NOAA.
The team describes: "They can swim with the ability to cling to the sea floor when hiding, making them difficult to detect".
Finally, there is a predatory fish with a rather "cool" name: Atlantic Midshipman . They hit fast like electricity to catch the prey.
The process is very fast, and the team only saw clearly when it played slowly. According to them, this is one of the fish species that has the fastest bite.
