Ho Chi Minh City is at high risk of pollution

The crowded people, vehicles, and houses and roads are everywhere, along with many people lacking the sense of hygiene and the environment of Ho Chi Minh City tends to deteriorate.

Every day, the whole city releases thousands of tons of rubbish, so much rubbish that there is no room for burial. Many places, domestic garbage, dead mice, leftover food thrown away on the road arbitrarily! Heavy traffic causes dust and smoke from morning to night.

The situation of digging roads and expanding houses in many localities has turned the whole city like a giant construction site. This situation has clogged the drainage system of the city, leading to flooding every time it rains, turning streets into rivers and streams. Dirty garbage is also an agent of disease for humans.

In each rainy season, after only a few rains, the city has hundreds of submerged spots. In the area of the Tree Knockout (District 6) is called the ' navel ' of TP, after each afternoon rain has flooded half a meter.

In District 11, Lanh Binh Thang, Ton That Thiep, Nguyen Thi Nho roads are submerged 0.4m - 0.5m high; Although Au Co, Huong Lo 14 and Truong Cong Dinh (Tan Binh district) are not as deep as districts 6 and 11, the water level is still rising to 0.3m.

Van Thanh Bac area (Binh Thanh district) is flooded with more than half of the motorbikes. The most worrisome thing for the people is that the flooding brings heavy pollution there.

One of the places causing serious pollution is fishing ports, fish markets and seafood processing facilities located in residential areas. Hoa Binh fish market (District 5) is one of dozens of fish markets in the city that cause the most unhygienic, so far has not been improved, although people complain a lot.

The road in front of the cage house selling fish, shrimp, washing water of the vehicles to the fish from the night always remains in the puddles on the erosion road, patchy, then flooded out to the market, close to the population residence. The area for selling fish in Ba Chieu market is similar. Dry seafood market (District 5) is like a big fish drying ground. Also in the markets of Tran Chanh Chieu, fish yard 50 (district 6), Mai Xuan Thuong market, Xom Cuoi fish market, Pham Van Hai market ., the fish selling areas are also polluted by fish washing water and waste products. Exile. The first reason is because the plan of investment in premises is no longer suitable for this type of business.

In addition, in Ho Chi Minh City, more than 100 enterprises causing environmental pollution must be relocated from inner city to industrial parks and farms of Pham Van Coi, Le Minh Xuan . from 2002 to 2004. But Up to now, the number of enterprises 'displaced' is still very small.

Enterprises that have not yet relocated have all stated that the reason is lack of capital and no suitable location has been found. Some units have land, want to move to, but the location is not in accordance with the Department of Planning and Architecture. Therefore, the city government needs to have a " clean up " plan in conjunction with broad pitch propaganda to raise the awareness of maintaining the common hygiene of each people, hoping the city environment will soon be improved healthily. .
