How did the Soviet Union create its own super dog?

After World War 2, Soviet Red Army sought to create a special "super dog" breed. After combining 17 different varieties, they got what they wanted: Russian black terriers.

There are the best qualities possible: the agility and the keen guarding instinct of the Gaint Schnauzers, the perseverance and certainty of Airdales and the enormous bravery and formality of the Rottwiler. In addition to the above major varieties, some other breeds also participated in the creation of Soviet 'super dogs' such as Newfoundlands, and Moscow State dogs (now extinct).

The Red Star Dog - the agency responsible for breeding and distributing special dogs to the Red Army - has succeeded in creating a breed that is suitable for its geographical conditions and needs. By rigorous breeding choices, the Russian black terrier has a body height of 1 meter and weighs nearly 60kg. Not only inheriting many good qualities and withstanding harsh weather in Russia, this breed also enjoys working.

The Russian black terrier likes to work in large spaces and is often described as a lovely pet. However, there is a minus point that they need to be on the owner's side. The problem seemed small, but according to We Are Almighty, some Russian black terriers often complain about pets breaking home if left alone for too long.
