How long the eye lids are

Scientists found that many mammals share a common characteristic: the length of the eyelashes is exactly one third of the width of the eye. So long eyelashes help you condition, but can harm your eyes.

The Georgia Tech University study, conducted on 22 species of mammals, including cows, sheep, deer ., was published in the Journal of the Royal Society, CBS television.

Researchers do an experiment to build a wind tunnel that simulates the wind blowing into people's eyes. If the length of the eyelid varies, the speed, direction and amount of wind will have different effects on the eye.

If the eyelash is longer than the above "golden ratio", it will harm the human eye. At that time, the air flow around the eyes will increase sharply and from there roll the dust particles and allergens into the eyes.

Although false eyelashes are too long is not good, but the higher the number of lashes, the better the George Tech scientists concluded.

"With a long, overly standard lashes, the bigger the thickness, the better for the eyes," said Alexander Alexeev, a professor at the School of Engineering, on Georgia technology sites. "If false eyelashes are thick enough, they can still create an overall effect in eye protection even if the eyelash length is longer than the one-third of eye width."
