Huge amount of alien material in the Iranian desert

Russian scientists found a large amount of material from meteorite debris could be born when the solar system formed 4.5 billion years ago.

Viktor Grokhovsky led the expedition to the Lut desert in Iran and returned with 13kg of alien material, Sputnik News reported on February 10. The arid conditions and desert landscapes help preserve material from meteorites originating from the formation of the solar system some 4.5 billion years ago.

The team consists of four geologists from the Ural Federal University who depart for the Lut desert to search for traces of meteors, similar to meteorites that burn into fireballs in the sky of Chelyabinsk, Russia, 2013. They found 13kg of meteorite- like material , with about 80% of the specimens likely to have alien origins.

According to the researchers, debris comes from the same meteor shower, at least 10 - 70 samples they collected belong to the same type of meteor. Half of the debris was preserved by Grokhovsky's colleagues at Kerman University, while half were brought to Extra Terra Consortium laboratory in Russia for research.

"Currently, specimens are being measured and classified. To date the debris found, scientists will have to consider the time a debris forms in the universe, the time it separates. from the mother body and the time it spent on Earth Based on the radioisotope, we were able to find the age of the outer space in the form of meteorites , " Grokhovsky said.
