Many mothers fall into chronic insomnia because of the crying of children. That's why scientists at Kyuushuu University (Japan) came up with the idea of building a cradle capable of coaxing children and naming the product Suima.

Suima's frame is made of wood and has a screened net to ensure baby's safety. It is integrated with shaking motor and is resistant to impact by springs up to 10 cm long. The cradle is 60 cm long and 30 cm wide and the user can command it with the remote control device.

The fabrication team installed a sensor above the crib to detect the baby's crying. When the baby cries, the sensor signals to the control unit so that the cradle swings 1.8 seconds / beat (equivalent to the beat of the human heart). The swinging motion of the cradle is modeled on the shaking of an adult's hand when the baby is lulled.

Kyuushuu University is cooperating with Maruki Kaihatsu Company to bring Suima crib to market. Parents will have to spend at least $ 4,500 to own Suima, or can rent for $ 100 per month.
