Identification solution for twin crimes
Thanks to DNA, police can identify criminals easily. However, in some cases with twins, this becomes very difficult because they have almost identical DNA. But British researchers have found a solution to this problem.
Traditional DNA testing can be applied successfully to common criminal cases.
Engadget, a researcher in the UK, said that traditional DNA testing could be applied successfully to common criminal cases. However, in some cases involving criminals are twins, this method almost loses its effect. A new method, developed by British researchers, promises to open the door to the hope of distinguishing DNA from the police.
The researchers said they would use heat to heat the gene . Hydrogen bonds in the gene are formed by the habitat and habits of the twins that can be broken down at different temperatures.
At different times, the police will have grounds to identify two different DNA samples and from there it is easy to identify criminals in twins. Time will also be shortened quite a lot: only take a few hours to find the portraiture of the cause.
Slashgear says the new technique requires a relatively large sample size. Therefore, it may still not work in the case of collecting too few DNA samples at the crime scene.
