In 2009, Madonna will fly into space

Famous pop singer Madonna will fly to the ISS International Space Station in 2009. Igor Panarin, spokesman for the Russian Space Agency (Roskomos), confirmed this on Monday.

According to Panarin, Madonna representatives can contact Roskomos to review the details of this project. Although the 'space travelers' schedule has been listed until the end of 2008, Madonna's case has no problem.

Mr. Panarin confirmed Louise Veronica Ciccone's dream of flying into space (Madonna's real name) could become a reality in 2009, because she is in good health and financially capable.

Madonna will be the next female visitor to the ISS after Anoushe Ansari, an Iranian-American woman who flew to the ISS station on September 18.

Last week, on a plenary session at the Duma House, Senator Alexei Mitrofanov proposed bringing this American female vocalist to space. He asked the Industry, Construction and Science Technology Commission to request the Russian Space Agency to consider the possibility of organizing a flight for Madonna in 2008. However, this proposal was rejected.
