Instantaneous information transfer by laser beam

German scientists use lasers to instantly move information from one point to another without changing the material and losing energy.

In the past, the phenomenon of teleportation has been demonstrated by scientists in the quantum world. "Quantum grains like electrons and light particles exist in an uncertain space state ," explains Alexander Szameit, a professor at the University of Jena in Germany.

In other words, these particles can be in two or more places at the same time in a certain probability. "In a space spread across multiple locations, these particles can transmit information from one place to another , " Professor Szameit said in a study published today in the journal Laser & Photonics. Reviews.

According to UPI, in the latest experiment, instantaneous-displacement technology was successfully applied to convey the classical physics information. Researchers can use quantum particles to instantly move information through a complex process called quantum entanglement.

"Similar to the physical state of the fundamental particles, the nature of the beam may also be linked in a certain way," explains co-author Marco Ornigotti. "So you can attach the information you want to convey with a specific attribute of light."

Specifically, the light properties that the researchers used in this experiment were the polarization for encoding information in the laser beam. The information encoded in the polarization of light is shifted instantaneously to another location without loss or distortion.
