Intelligent car inspection system
The latest Toyota cars (Japan) will no longer have to test the real test to safety features. Instead, they were tested inside a giant virtual simulation system of a radius of 4.5 meters.
The simulation system is based in Susono, Japan, using audiovisual systems, test benches and other technologies that enable various states to affect cars and drivers.
This simulator has a diameter of 7.1 m with a screen enclosed around 360 degrees that can project real-world imagery around the vehicle. The entire system is mounted on a computer-controlled hydraulic bench that makes the movements compatible with the vehicle's operation, in order to give the rider a real feel. Both systems can move slides in space 35x20m.
The driver can control the vehicle as it is, the simulator will respond to the image and sound compatible. Toyota says the simulator is used to analyze factors affecting the driving process, to improve or manufacture technologies that ensure safety and reduce the consequences of accidents.
