Australian scientists are experimenting with an iPhone-based app that automatically controls cars.
Just put the iPhone in the car, with the camera back facing the road, this application will automatically combine satellite images with street images that the iPhone turns to control the car itself. Sky News reported on Aug. 14.
Professor Jun Jo of Griffith University, who led the study, said that his team also produced a private car for the application.

In 2009, German scientists created a remote-controlled car using the iPhone.
" We have the ability to make a fully automated car, but safety is important ," said Toby Hagen, a Sydney-based car journalist . What happens if the iPhone has an application that controls the car automatically runs out of battery or malfunction? '
Australian scientists say that at least another decade is needed for a new car to be available in the market.
In the US, some companies such as Google, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and General Motors are also experimenting with cars that are self-propelled.
