Is water still flowing on Mars?

Images from the US Air and Space Administration's (NASA) spacecraft may be clues to suggest that water still exists on the red planet.

The recording device of the High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) by Mars Marson around Mars shows that dark lines branching like fingers on the mountain slopes in Mars are called cyclic slopes. period (RSL).

Through image analysis, RSL scientists are traces of saltwater flow that have dried up due to frost but are capable of becoming liquid at elevated temperatures due to iron sulfate - which is a substance can keep water from freezing when the temperature drops.

They hypothesized that those streams contain saline and iron sulfate solutions that could flow from the ridge periodically, forming RSL. They do not rule out the possibility that this phenomenon still exists.

Researcher Lujendra Ojha of the Georgia Institute of Technology stated: 'We have no evidence of the existence of water at RSL even though we are not sure how this process takes place without water. The RSL phenomenon is only found in a few places, not elsewhere, creating more doubts, including the possibility that the existence of water or salt plays an important role to form RSL '.
