Heriot Watt University study, UK, has found that people change their drink assessment depending on the melody they hear. Red wine is most affected by strong music, while white wine is better than enjoying fun and fresh music.

The study included 250 students who drank a glass of wine. 4 types of music are played by Carmina Burana of Orff (powerful music), Waltz of the Flowers from The Nutcracker of Tchaikovsky (delicate music, luxury), Just Can't Get Enough of Nouvelle Vague (lively, fresh music ) and Michael Brook's Slow Breakdown (sad, deep music).

White wine is rated 40% higher when fresh music is played, and only increases by 26% when drinking with sad music. Red wine changed 25% by sad music, but increased by 60% by strong music.

"The results can help wine producers recommend what kind of music customers should listen to when enjoying their alcohol so they can enhance feelings," said Professor Adrian North.

Previously, Mr. North also conducted a study that showed that people would increase their ability to buy French wine 5 times more than German wine when listening to accordion music. If a band of drums plays accessories, German wine will be sold twice as much as French wine.
