Japan develops artificial joint hands

Squse robot manufacturing company in Kyoto (Japan) recently introduced a prototype artificial hand can grip objects skillfully through the 'engine' works by compressed air.

Picture 1 of Japan develops artificial joint hands The robotic hand resembles a real human hand with five fingers and a synthetic leather. The joint operation was not for the tiny motor that through a single system was created from the 'body' contains compressed air. This technology mainly makes the robot more skillful, less heavy and noisy than the current robot.

"Our goal is to create robots capable of doing the hard work like human hands," Squse CEO Mikio Shimizu explained.

The prototype is capable of holding a thin piece of metal without dropping or holding a tangerine without crushing. It can also hold a pencil, even a ripe egg without breaking.

Squse plans to send 50 hand samples to research institutes and robots to find a practical application within five years.
