With this design, the Shinkai 12000 is capable of diving down to the lowest point of the Mariana Trench, which is known to be the deepest point in the Earth's crust with a depth of 10,911m.

Unlike the cockpit of the Shikai 6500, which is now made of titanium alloy with a small door, the cockpit of the Shinkai 12000 is designed for two people with superhuman strength of 5-10cm , has a diameter of 2m, widening the scope of observation.

It also features a rest room, which allows a group of six to work continuously for 48 hours.

It is expected that the Shinkai 12000 will be completed by 2020.

Now, in addition to the Shinkai 6500, which has a diving capability of 6,500 meters, Russia and France both have dives that can dive over 6,000 meters and China has the Giao Long capable of 7,000 meters.
