Japan launches bio-diesel train

Japan has launched a new environmentally-friendly technology product, the first biodiesel diesel (BDF) train in Kasai, in Hyogo Prefecture, in the western part of the country.

The vessel is the product of Hojo Railway Company (Hojo Railways Co.), was funded by the budget of the city of Kasai and some agencies and other organizations. The special feature of this vessel is that it is run on a used cooking oil, refined and completely non-toxic.

The launch of this product helped Hojo achieve its goal of attracting more tourists and reducing its financial deficit. Ships are operated on weekends.

In March, the city of Kasai collected used cooking oils from households and restaurants in the city and produced about 74,000 liters of biodiesel. Hojo said the investment in this oil is profitable and that the company's potential for growth is high.
