VNA quoted Luu Minh Thanh, director of the Phong Nha - Ke Bang World Natural Heritage Management Board, saying that making films for Son Doong will be a good opportunity for more people to understand this cave. This is the first science film about cave by 3D technique.

The film crew consists of 12 people, including the Royal English cave specialist Dr. Howard Limbirt and his colleagues, under the guidance of Mr. Ho Khanh (who discovered and named Son Doong cave).

The film is about the kinds of creatures living in caves in the bright environment and close-up of forests in the world's rarest cave. It is expected that the film will air at the end of 2011 in 160 countries and territories.

Son Doong Cave was discovered in April 2009 by the Royal Cave Association , the largest cave in the world with a width of more than 200 meters, 150 meters tall, belonging to the Phong Nha - Ke World Natural Heritage Bang.

Recently, BBC also chose Son Doong as one of the most beautiful caves in the world. In March last year, the filmmakers of the famous magazine National Geogrephic (of the Geographic Society of America) had a 20-day survey to make films about Son Doong.
