Japan made glass wall to reduce earthquake shocks

Japan's Obayashi Construction Corporation has developed a glass wall capable of reducing the earthquake's vibration by 30%. This wall also allows to reduce the minimum thickness of the walls in buildings.

The glass wall contains an elastic material that absorbs vibrations. Obayashi Corporation has conducted tests that demonstrate that the wall is capable of reducing from a sixth grader to a fifth grader (the seventh highest) without the use of scientific measurements, but to perceive of the residents when an earthquake occurred. No cracks appeared on the glass.

New trials will continue to be conducted before launching this product to ensure efficiency.
