Kefir cat - The white cat in Russia is the largest in the world
The Daily Mail (UK) on January 20 said this cat was named Kefir, belonging to the Maine Coon breed - an American long-haired cat. Kefir's owner is Yulia Minina who lives in the city of Stary Oskol (Russia).

Ms. Minina bought Kefir 2 years ago and the kitten continues to grow over time. She shared about her pet: 'I couldn't believe that a kitten could be this big. Not only is it big, but it's also very intelligent and behaves calmly."
She also said that when strangers come to her house, they often mistake Kefir for a dog. Kefir weighs about the same as a 2-year-old baby. Currently, Kefir is 1 year and 10 months old, weighing 12.7kg.
Ms. Minina added that the Maine Coon cat can mature in three to four years, so she believes Kefir will continue to grow.
The Maine Coon cat breed originated in the US state of Maine. On average males of the Maine Coon breed can weigh up to 8 kg and females 5.4 kg. A cat named Stewie in Nevada (USA) once held the record as the world's longest cat with a length of 1.2 m from nose to tail. Stewie died in 2010 and is also a Maine Coon cat.
