Specialist of the Institute of Applied Physics at the National University of Irkutsk, Aleksandr Pakhorukov said this unique and modern telescope recognizes the time and intensity of the occurrence of ultra-high-energy particles in the universe. , including gamma rays.

Combined with information from another recording device 2 meters underground, astronomers from Russia and Germany will calculate the exact time and location of natural phenomena in the universe.

HiSCORE is the fifth astronomical observatory located in Irkutst because it is an area with favorable climate conditions for observing the sky at night.

With the installation of the HiSCORE telescope, Russia is aiming to install 100 astronomical observatories in the Tunkinskaya valley in 2016, further asserting its position in the world's leading research group. save gamma rays of high energy astrophysics and study particle matter.
