King Tutankhamun may have a daughter
Egyptian scientists are examining the DNA of two embalmed fetuses found in Tutankhamun's tomb to find out if they are children of the young emperor.
Archaeologist Brother Howard Carter discovered these mummified fetuses when he found the tomb of Pharaoh in 1922. Many scholars believe their mother was the Ankhesenamun, the only known wife of the emperor.
Ankhesenamun is Nefertiti's daughter, famous for her beauty.
"For the first time we will be able to identify Emperor Tut's family," said Zahi Hawass, chairman of the Egyptian Supreme Council.

Tutankhamun, born in 1341 BC, died less than a decade after he was crowned at the age of 8 or 9. His importance stems from the denial of new religions introduced by his predecessor Akenhaten - who tried to force the Egyptians to worship the Aten god. .
This emperor's family genealogy has long been a mystery subject to experts.
Egypt is trying to check all the royal mummies with DNA technology and CT scans. Tutankhamun was one of the first mummies to be tested with this technology in 2005.
