Kingfisher birds also know to diversify dishes

Every day, kingfishers must load food (fish) equivalent to their body weight to survive, so they are not in the form of 'picky eaters'.

Paul Richards, a retired wildlife conservationist, said so after capturing the whole scene of prey fishing kingfishers at the mouth of the Cleddau River in southwest Wales (UK).

Richards was surprised when in just two hours, a kingfisher caught and ate six different prey including flatfish, goby, shrimp, mullet, mussels, and sea bass. Each week Richards spends more than 30 hours watching this bird and finds that the fisher catches fish three times a day, each catching 4 or 5 different birds. This proves that kingfishers are like us, like to have a lot of food at each meal.
