South Korea yesterday said it is beginning to kill thousands of chickens after a new outbreak of bird flu has been discovered near Seoul.

British officials are now investigating Bernard Matthews after reports of the company carrying a handful of poultry processed from Hungary into the UK. However, Saga Foods rejected the H5N1 virus into the UK from their products.
