Launched unmanned trains, no rails in China
The China Railway Group recently launched the world's first virtual unmanned trainset.
The train is a mix of buses and trains and is called the "smart bus" by the Chinese CRRC, the Chinese railway company .

Its highlight is that instead of running on conventional metal rails, it follows the white dots on the road, also called virtual rails.
This train is 30m long, run entirely by electricity, can run over 40km when fully charged. The sensors along the road and on the car help it to run the right "virtual rail" as well as adapt to the surrounding environment and unexpected situations in real time.

The first electric train was designed with three carriages, capable of carrying 300 passengers and will be upgraded to 500 passengers in the future.
According to the CRRC, this model trains are intended to meet the needs of communities who are unable to purchase expensive subway or trams. They say the cost of building one kilometer for the ship is only $ 2 million, while the metro line is $ 102 million.

It is expected to be operational by 2018 after the 6.5km "virtual railway" was completed in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, China.
