Launching ASEAN film and photo festivals

On July 22, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Information and Communications (TT&TT) officially launched the Photo Festival and Reportage Film - document on environmental protection and climate change in the ASEAN community in 2013.

Types of works participating in the competition include: Photos, photo groups, reportage films, documentaries with themes reflecting the situation and impact on environmental protection and climate change in countries in the ASEAN community.

All individuals, organizations or groups of authors of nationalities of ASEAN member states are allowed to attend.

The purpose of the festival is to build a clean and green ASEAN, with a stable mechanism for solid development, environmental protection, ensuring the sustainability of the region's natural resources and quality. life of national prices in ASEAN.

'The festival will promote cooperation and mutual understanding among countries in the process of building a strong ASEAN community and implementing the ASEAN Charter' , Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, Do Quy Doan and representatives of the Steering Committee The festival said.

Deputy Minister Do Quy Doan also said that this is the second time Vietnam hosted a festival of photo and documentary works in the ASEAN community, therefore, the Ministry of Information and Communications has enough experience in organizing festival from propaganda for the festival to the stage of awarding.

In addition to the mass media, the steering committee of this festival will also adopt international cooperation organizations and embassies of ASEAN countries to attract a wide range of participants in the ASEAN community. Mr. Doan said.

The time to receive the work is from July 1 - October 31, 2013 (calculated by postmark). It is expected that the award ceremony will be held in December 2013.
