Leonardo da Vinci may be of Arab descent

Considering the fingerprints left in Leonardo da Vinci's remains, Italian scientists have concluded that this illustrator may have a part of Arab blood.

Fingerprints are the only biological trace left by Leonardo until today (his body and grave have been lost in the 16th century religious conflicts). However, even this fragile evidence is not much.

The team of taxonomist Luigi Capasso, of the University of Chiet, took four years to find and restore Leonardo da Vinci's fingerprints from paintings and transcripts. The first complete mark they discovered was on the portrait of the Woman and the Weasel Ermine. After comparing and matching this fingerprint with the other two marks found in the manuscript of the genius of Florence, they obtained an intact, possible fingerprint of the index finger of the left hand.

Thoroughly studying every kink and the detailed arrangement on the fingerprint, Luiggi Capasso said that Leonardo has a part of the Arab blood. His fingerprints left behind the features of fingerprints that 60% of Middle Eastern residents own.

Mother Leonardo is a slave?

The conclusion above gives the research a further basis to assert that the relative gave birth to a famous artist not a local rural woman like many previous theories, but a slave from the Middle East.

In the 15th century, in the hometown of Leonardo there were many Middle Eastern slaves. In 1452, when he was born, the Florence government passed a law extending the rights of slave owners to slaves. Perhaps at that time his father, a craftsman named Ser Piero Da Vinci, married a slave owned by her name, Caterina and gave birth to Leonardo.

Therefore, this extraordinary genius may not be 100% Italian but carries half the Arab bloodline. How does that affect his talent and style, there are many other studies to confirm.
