Physical inactivity is the fourth leading risk factor for death worldwide (6% of deaths every year).
People with less physical activity will be at risk of non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular, diabetes, cancer . 5 times more than those who regularly do physical activity by walking, cycling, collectively exercise at least 30 minutes a day and regularly 5 days a week.

That is the conclusion of the studies by Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Institute of Garvan - Australia and TS. Carl Johan Sundberg, Karolinska Institute - Sweden at the Scientific Conference on " Physical activity and lifestyle in the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases " organized by Hanoi Medical University on December 21 in Hanoi.
A survey in 2009 showed that Vietnamese people are becoming less physically active, especially in urban areas and women are less active than men. According to MSc. Tran Quoc Bao, Communication Center Central health education, less physical activity is the fourth leading risk factor for death worldwide (accounting for 6% of deaths per year).
That is also the main cause of 21-25% of the burden due to colon cancer, breast cancer; 27% of diabetes and 30% of coronary artery disease.
