Magic beauty in Asia's longest dry cave
31 km long, the largest place about 150 m, the newly discovered Thien Duong cave in Quang Binh looks fanciful and makes hundreds of tourists admiring.
Discovered in 2005 but after 5 years of exploiting, opening roads, punishing mountains and building up and down roads, Thien Duong cave has just been put into operation in the afternoon of September 3.
The cave is about 60km northwest of Dong Hoi city (Quang Binh), located in the middle of Phong Nha - Ke Bang forest, in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district. According to experts, Thien Duong is more beautiful and magnificent than Phong Nha and Tien Son.
From the information of a local resident named Ho Khanh, Thien Duong cave was discovered and attracted the attention of scientists, explorers and the international community.
' British Royal Cave Research Association ' has explored and published, the cave has a length of 31.4 km, the width ranges from 30 to 100 meters, the widest place is 150 meters, the height is from the bottom. The ceiling is about 60 meters.
Dr. Howard Limbert, a member of the association, said that this could be the longest dry cave in Asia.
From Ho Chi Minh Road (west branch), the section from km16 to the cave is about 7km long. More than 6km is quite flat road on smooth ground, under the leafy forest canopy with cool wind blowing. About 300m away, it is a stretch of road to climb ice over sharp cat ears.
The magnificent structure, the magical and magnificent beauty of this cave has surprised most visitors on the opening day.
Heaven has a cave mouth about 9m 2 . The ceiling is soaring, wide and wide. In particular, with two giant stalactite columns of diameter of 5 meters rising high like the columns of heavenly architecture, there are many rich shapes.
The first part of the cave is a stone arch tens of meters high, about 100 meters wide.
Thien Duong is also special by the orphaned columns. Most impressive is a long emulsion spread on the dynamic floor that looks like a saucer.
The second section of the cave has dozens of 30-to-60cm tall stalactites located right on the ground that look very much like Buddha statues.
There are also large emulsion columns with diameter of 1-2m like Quan Am Buddhist Lady.
Compared to Phong Nha cave, stalactites in Thien Duong have more shapes.
Most of the dynamic background is soft, wide and quite flat. The temperature in the cave is always at 20 to 21 degrees Celsius. Just standing in front of the door can feel every cool stream coming from the bottom blowing up.
The fantasy of the animation is adorned by fairies appearing in the opening.
A stalactite layer looks like a Rong house of the Central Highlands people.
Walking in the cave can feel every step or the voice, laughing of the visitors, each sound is separate, sounding against the cliffs as if to keep everyone talking.
At present, it is only exploited and allowed to visit about 500 meters in length due to the many dangerous sinking holes deep inside, the dynamic foundation is not stable.
