Angelita means 'little angel' , while Cenote is an ancient word from the Mayan, meaning sacrifice. Cenote Angelita Cave is located in an area 10 minutes drive from Tulum Maya, on the east coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.

Cenote Angelita Cave has a unique ecosystem, created under the effects of climate change and geological changes. Specifically, it was created due to the collapse of limestone foundation and then filled with fresh water.

After 30m in the top freshwater floor, the talented divers continued to dive down to 60m of salt water to see the deep blue river lying on the river bed. It has currents, ripples, even the shore, the island, the trees, the dry leaves spread on the two sides, looking like a normal river flowing on the ground.

The middle floor has a thick layer of fog. It is essentially a layer of hydrogen sulfide, created by clashes between fresh water at the top of the cave and salt water filling the lower half. They blend in with the cave scenery, creating magical and enchanting beauty.
