Doctor Nguyen Trung Cap, deputy head of this hospital's emergency department, said the first case was a 26-year-old woman in Thanh Hoa, hospitalized on the sixth day of the disease. The patient was treated in isolation, ventilator room and was the most severely ill in the family with 6 people suffering from influenza A (H1N1).

"Because the patient's home has dead chickens, fear of avian influenza, the whole family goes straight to the Central Hospital of Tropical Diseases. It is very fortunate that they do not have the dangerous influenza strain , " said Dr.

The second severe case was a 67-year-old grandfather in Hung Yen, who was also hospitalized with fever until Friday with signs of fatigue, pain in his body, breathing difficulties in breathing. The prognosis of the patient is stable.

According to Dr. Grant, from February, the number of patients coming to see for influenza A (H1N1) is high, 3-4 shifts every day. In particular, there are cases of 5-6 cases of patients with family members. Of these, there are 6 serious complications. Patients scattered in the provinces.

In early January, there were also cases of more than 40 pupils of boarding schools in Hanoi. The current wet weather in the North facilitates the development of influenza virus. The disease is transmitted through the respiratory tract so the risk of transmission is higher than usual.

As a precaution, people need to pay attention to personal hygiene measures such as washing their hands with soap regularly, avoiding hand and nose, and covering their mouths when coughing or sneezing and can be vaccinated. Cases of high fever, shortness of breath require immediate medical attention, not subjective to stay at home.

"It is not only dangerous for influenza A (H5N1), A (H7N9) but regular seasonal flu including influenza A (H1N1), which can cause pneumonia, shortness of breath, and even death from respiratory failure. Therefore, patients should not be subjective , "the doctor advised.

Derived from pigs, the H1N1 flu broke out strongly in 2009, the spread rate was high. In Vietnam, thousands of people have been infected with the virus and more than 50 people have died. After a strong outbreak in 2009, the current H1N1 flu circulates like a regular seasonal flu strain. The disease usually resolves after 6-7 days.
