In which, there are 214 cases in the South, 48 in the Central and 20 in the Central Highlands. Particularly, the North did not record any cases in September 20.

Thus, as of 18:00 on September 20, Vietnam has recorded 6,883 positive cases, 9 deaths, including 2 deaths in Dak Lak and Binh Phuoc by the Central Highlands Hygiene and Epidemiology Institute. and Ho Chi Minh City's Paster Institute tests samples confirming positive for influenza A / H1N1.

Currently, the number of patients who have been cured and discharged from the hospital is 4,669 people, the remaining cases are currently isolated and treated in hospitals, treatment facilities and community supervision in a stable health condition.

On September 19 and 20, at Dak Lak General Hospital and Binh Phuoc General Hospital, two more patients died of influenza A / H1N1.

At 8:30 am on September 20, patients with T-H1N1 infection died at Dak Lak General Hospital. This patient was born in 1963, residing in village 4, Hoa An commune, Krong Pac district, Dak Lak.

Dr. Cao Minh Toan, Deputy Director of Dak Lak Department of Health said, NTT hospitalized at the General Hospital of Krong Pak district on the evening of September 17 with symptoms of fever, difficulty breathing and then transferred to the article treatment at Dak Lak General Hospital. At Dak Lak General Hospital, the patient was treated isolated according to the influenza A / H1N1 regimen, the patient's condition was stable, no fever but the white blood cell count was quite high.

On September 18, the hospital took samples for testing and on September 19, the Central Highlands Hygiene and Epidemiology Institute had a notice (via phone) of specimens of this patient positive for influenza A / H1N1. About 8 am 20/9, the condition of the patient suddenly turns serious with severe respiratory distress and death about 30 minutes later.

In Binh Phuoc, on the afternoon of September 20, Dr. To Duc Sinh, Director of the Provincial Preventive Medicine Center, said that Binh Phuoc had the first case of A / H1N1 flu death. Patient named DT KC, 42 years old, resided in Hamlet 6, Dong Tam Commune, Dong Phu District, was treated at the Internal Medicine Department, Provincial General Hospital, died on September 19 due to severe pneumonia. later identified as infected with influenza A / H1N1.

Doctor Sinh said that from September 15, patients with DTKC had symptoms of fever, cough, diarrhea and self-treatment at home. In the morning of September 18, the patient visited and was admitted to the Department of Internal Medicine, Binh Phuoc General Hospital and was diagnosed with severe pneumonia. After that, doctors treated suspected patients infected with influenza A / H1N1 and took samples for testing. Test results of the Paster Institute in Ho Chi Minh City on September 20 have identified patients positive for influenza A / H1N1.

Immediately after confirming the death of A / H1N1 influenza patients, Binh Phuoc Preventive Medicine Center informed the Preventive Medical Center of Vinh Long province (the patient was brought back to Vinh Long to be buried in the village) ) monitoring burial and burial; At the same time, organize spraying of disinfectants in the area of ​​Internal Medicine, emergency and patient homes and recommend those who have been in contact with patients with D.T KC patients to follow and isolate themselves. Currently, the source of infection of the patient has not been determined, but the area of ​​Dong Tam commune has now identified cases of influenza A / H1N1 infection.

Thus, as of September 20, there were 9 patients died of influenza A / H1N1. Of course two deaths on the Ministry of Health will consider to officially announce the cause of death.

Limit closure and stop classes

Before the situation of the number of students infected with influenza A / H1N1 has increased constantly in schools throughout the country, many schools are worried that the epidemic will spread so they decided to close the school as soon as they found a positive student. influenza A / H1N1.

The Ministry of Health advises educational institutions and schools when detecting students infected with influenza A / H1N1 need to limit closure and stop classes.Instead, the school cooperates with health facilities to organize good isolation of infected and treated children in the locality and families where they reside.
