Doctor - Dr. Hoang Lan Phuong, deputy head of Tropical Diseases, Cho Ray Hospital, said that the results of X-rays showed that the lungs of patients were infected, the tissues of the two lungs were seriously damaged. Patients were treated with antibiotics while taking samples to test for H1N1, H5N1 and H7N9 flu. Later results were positive for H1N1.

The patient immediately received isolation treatment, was very alert and had good contact but coal difficulty breathing. This situation is prolonged and there is no progress despite a positive emergency. The patient died after several hours of hospitalization.

Dr. Phuong said, the patients were hospitalized when the condition was too severe, which was the cause of ineffective cure. The patient's family has 9 adults but so far no one has a fever.

Cho Ray Hospital is also actively treating a 24-year-old female patient in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City, suffering from influenza A / H1N1. This patient had the flu during pregnancy, had to give birth to a baby in the 34th week of pregnancy. Currently, her health condition is very critical, the patient is on mechanical ventilation and life is very conservative.

In early May, a home patient in District 11, HCMC, also died of H1N1 flu. This person was hospitalized with difficulty breathing and despite a positive emergency, the condition did not improve.

In the North, on May 21, Ha Giang Department of Health confirmed 56-year-old male patient, in Lung Sinh village, Viet Lam commune, Vi Xuyen district, the first case of H1N1 flu in this year in the locality. On May 21, the patient died.

Earlier in April, the Central Hospital of Tropical Diseases received a 46-year-old male patient, Yen Bai, who contracted pandemic H1N1 flu in a very severe condition and died after only 2 days.
