Death from H1N1 in the world increases rapidly
In the past, it was estimated that 500 people had one death, but now this number increases by 3-4 times in some countries. Indonesia has more than 650 cases but has died 3, Malaysia died 15 more than 1,500 people.
In Southeast Asia, the situation continues to be complicated, with countries such as Thailand dying to 81 people, most countries have infections and deaths, such as the Philippines with 3207 cases, deaths 8, Singapore contracted 1217, 8, Brunei died 786, death 1, Laos suffered 156, died 1.
Worldwide, the number of new H1N1 cases continues to increase rapidly, many countries have recorded deaths. According to the announcement of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control, by August 7, 2009, the world had more than 200,000 positive cases, in 168 countries and territories. Of which nearly 1,600 deaths.
In Vietnam, the number of new cases increases every day, up to nearly 70 days a day. By August 7, the whole country had 1,078 positive cases, one died. However, many health experts fear the epidemic will become more complicated when the winter is coming.
Dr. Jean Marc Olive, Chief Representative of the World Health Organization in Vietnam said: " In the winter, the H1N1 virus will become even more powerful. The coming winter also means that the flu season will come, then it will be difficult to divide. especially seasonal flu with H1N1, and this is also the beginning of the school season, so the possibility of spreading the disease will be greater .
He also noted that in Vietnam, the H5N1 virus is still circulating, so people need to be vigilant. When there is a flu manifestation, it must be examined to classify as H5N1 or H1N1.
Predicting the possibility of combining H1N1 virus with H5N1 in the coming time, Dr. Olive said: " The possibility of the H1N1 virus associated with H5N1 is available, but I am worried about the possibility of combining the seasonal and H1N1 flu easily. Because seasonal flu is also spread from person to person through contact, H5N1 is transmitted from poultry to humans .
According to the doctor, during this time, if the students and working people are sick, they should stay at home, avoiding spreading the disease to others. At the end of illness or symptoms after a new day of school, go to work.
On August 7, the Ministry of Health issued 10 recommendations to prevent H1N1 flu at work. In it, note:
