According to information from the HCM City Department of Health, the case of a 37-week-old pregnant patient (residing in Dak Lak) who was transferred to Tropical Hospital on October 15 died after 12 days of hospitalization. Before moving to Tropical Hospital, this patient had symptoms of prolonged cough, fatigue, and high fever.
The Tropical Hospital doctors immediately took the A / H1N1 influenza test and the result was positive. Although it is actively treated, the patient's health is weakening, the disease is worsening while the ability of the body to respond to drugs is poor and severe pneumonia has died on October 27.
Thus, up to this point, the country has 10 pregnant women who died of H1N1 flu and is also the 36th case of death from H1N1 flu. Particularly in HCMC, only on October 27, hospitals received 14 more cases of influenza A / H1N1 infection.
Up to now, there are 69 cases positive for influenza A / H1N1, of which 6 severe cases are being treated at hospitals in the city.
