Marijuana smoke contains more toxins than cigarette smoke

Another reason to give up marijuana. The Canadian team found that marijuana smoke contains a significant amount of toxic compounds such as ammonia and hydrogen cyanide higher than smoke and it can cause dangerous diseases similar to cigarettes.

The study of the chemical composition of their marijuana smoke is considered to be the most comprehensive published in the issue Picture 1 of Marijuana smoke contains more toxins than cigarette smoke

According to David Moir and colleagues, many studies on the chemical composition of tobacco smoke on a large scale have been conducted. Smoke contains a lot of harmful substances, 50% of which can cause cancer.

The study compared cannabis smoke with tobacco smoke by using a smoking machine to recreate human smoking habits.Scientists have found that the rate of ammonia in marijuana smoke is 20 times higher, while the ratio of hydrogen cyanide, nitrogen oxide and certain aromatic amines is 3-5 times higher than cigarette smoke .

The results of the study provide important information for the community about the risk of disease related to exposure to the toxic chemicals mentioned above.
