Marvel at the sculptures from leftover chicken bones

The skeleton of extinct birds from 1800-1900 was built from leftover chicken bones at fast food outlets.

These are works in a collection called " Species of extinction by humans being eaten" by ecology artist Christy Rupp .

She wanted to go through the collection of human attention to a large number of animals that have been extinct by humans.

As a vegetarian, with Christy, the collection of excess chicken bones is not easy. In the beginning, she had to search for bones in food bags left in the landfill. Sometimes Christy has to wait until the restaurants dump the leftovers or ask for help from the children. Occasionally, she had to wait until her friends finished eating and ask for the excess bone, even sticking out an ad asking people to keep their leftover bones.

It took 4 years, the new collection was completed. Collection of bones is just the beginning. Christy also has to boil, dry, bleach and spray the filler on the bone before forming. Collection includes 20 skeleton specimens of extinct birds. She hopes to be able to design many other works of art, using organic materials.
