People from many civilizations always carry chickens wherever they go

New England University experts at Armidale studied ancient DNA (called DNA mitochondria) in 48 ancient chicken bones and found similar traces present in chickens everywhere, from European countries, Thailand, Pacific region, Chile, CH Dominic and America.

The research leader, Dr. Alison Storey, said that domesticated chickens and meat were raised from at least 5,400 years ago.

However, the scientific community had previously had difficulty identifying their origins, since civilizations always had the presence of this bird species, wherever they appeared.

The ABC quoted Dr. Storay as saying that his group thinks that all breeds of chicken now originate from a few chickens they call the 'chicken's ancestor'.

According to a report published in PLOS ONE, the fact that chickens are allocated every corner of the globe has provided a unique example showing the important impact of humans, because this breed cannot be self-migrating, not floating over long distances and of course not fluent in water.
